by on July 25, 2010

Stopped taking Remeron/Mirtazapine two weeks ago. Have the flu, but that’s unrelated.

@saltyeggs71 Thx! It is always a crap shoot, and some things just have a way of working themselves out. But I do still need some sleep aid!!!

I loved this video. You are on the ball! I just quit Mirtazapine on the advice of my GP. My psychiatrist has been making some mistakes in my treatment. I feel more reassured after watching this video.

right there with you, I have been sleeping 15 hours of sleep, and gained 55 lbs in a few months. Im taking half a pill a day now, and just started phentermine to try to loose a bit of the weight. I felt great at first on mirtazipine, but the fatigue is horrible.

I began Remeron last night. Yes, 12-13 hours of sleep. weight-gain is a concern: and White Blood Cells. My other meds need adjusting.
I used Seroquel 25mg (lowest dose) for about 8 years to encourage sleep. It is used off-label for that purpose. It also can cause weight-gain, but not at 25mg – the smallest dose. It acts something like an anti-histamine. I also am allowed to take up to 3mg Klonopin at night (I usually take 2mg). w/o that I would not sleep. peace
